Teens are often called 'early adopters' because they are often the first age group to use new technologies or find new ways to use existing technologies. Write about the positives and negatives of social networking sites, messaging, and cell phone technologies used by teens. You might want to refer to a recent incident in your community or find a news article to which you can react.

Pros and cons of technology with teenagers today
In our day and age, it is normal for us teenagers to know about newer technology verses older people who didn’t grow up with the things we now have in stores today. With the newer technology it makes life easier for older people to get around or to access something; but not always. If you’re older and may have trouble seeing you might not be able to work something such as a phone, computer or other complicated technology. Thus, with the teenagers now a day’s we know how to work harder technology because we do learn how to learn computers and the new software on them; we could help the elder. A con of having such high levels of technology is that if you do something that is hurtful or mean to people around you, the text messaging and videos we make may be damaging to someone. A pro is that we can easily get a hold of friends, family, people who don’t live near, or explore new possibilities on the internet. Also, you can have to choice of homeschooling online if you prefer. You can also take online collage courses. So, the lesson at the end of the day is that for us teenagers technology can be used for good, or it can be used to get you in a lot of trouble Choose wisely.

Some of the Negatives of social networking sites and texting on cell phones are that people are much more likely to be mean to others because then their friends can see it and start being mean with them. They use sarcasm so that the person they are making fun of doesn’t realize it because they misinterpret it. Also most of the time they do it because they can’t see the hurt on the person’s face that they are being mean to. Some of the positives of social network sites and texting are that you can talk to people more efficiently and effectively. One of the biggest positives is that you can meet people that you wouldn’t usually get to meet in real life; the negative to that of course is pedophiles.

Pros and cons of teenagers on technology today.
Ok some Positives on Teenagers being able to adapt on technology at a younger age can be good. It can make your life easer! If you have a cell phone it is easier to connect will your parents while you are with a friend. Now let’s say you have algebra homework and you forgot you book at school and your parents won’t take you back to school to get your book and none of your friends have algebra so they can’t help you, you can now go online and get your book! It is really a good invention! This could be used even if you don’t want to take your book home now some negative ways that teenagers are connected to the internet! One sometimes they are so concentrated in the phone they have no idea on what’s going on in the outside world they want to know what their friends are up to so bad that they don’t know when their own parent is talking to them! That is what I think are pros and cons on teenagers and technology

There are many positives and negatives of social networking sites, messaging, and cell phone technologies. A positive is that you can easily connect with others and talk to them. A few negatives are that once you post, text or say something, you can’t undo it, and it’s out there for the whole world to see. Another problem is that teens are addicted to their cell phones, even when they are driving, and cause a LOT of accidents by texting and driving, even though it’s illegal in most places to text and drive. They use excuses like, there’s no cars around me (just the people going the opposite way on the highway), it’s not illegal unless you get in a accident, and although there are cameras at this intersection, they can’t see me texting.

The pros and cons about teens and technology.
The pros of teens and technology is teens are able to do things way faster on the internet, like homework or reports.
They also can look up there school books incase they forgot theres in there locker at school.
The cons about teens and technology is they are on it all the time and become lazy. These are some of the pros and cons i think about teenagers and technology.

Teens are considered the guinea pigs of modern day society. It is a plus to live in this era because we get to be able to use some of the new technologies that are being invented. It’s nice to have touch screen phones and devices that will do stuff for you by a touch of a button. Social networking is also great because it’s another way that people can quickly communicate to each other and express opinions freely. However, with this type of freedom on the internet, some people might feel the need to be rude to another person. This is probably because there is a slim chance of getting caught. Sometimes, cyber bullying can occur and it could turn out badly. Many people faced with this have low self-esteems or caused harm to themselves. It could really get out of hand and the harassed person would commit suicide. So people who do have cell phones and facebook or twitter accounts need to be responsible when on the internet and know that what they put out there, will stay there forever.

I think that some of the negatives behind using cell phones, messaging, and social networks there are many negatives. When your not talking face to face many people feel the right to be mean to you. Since they can't see the way your acting or what your saying, they feel like they can be mean to you. Which is cyberbulling, that happens because everyone feels stronger over the internet or over texts. People think that they can hrut and mess with you over the internet or texts because they aren't looking face to face at you. But the postivies about social websites and text messagings. It's an easier way to communicate with people. And with people that you don't see everyday and that you need to catch up with. Also the social networking sites can be a way to know what everyone is doing.

The positives of social networking sites, messaging, and cell phone technologies used by teens are these are all ways that teens can interact with friends and share your knowledge on things and also receive important information about things and you can also answer questions and post about peoples blog. Like Ms. McCormick’s blog posting about 9/11 and how we blogged about that. The negatives of these technologies are that people are able to post bad things and say bad things and they can also post false information and lie to other people.

Increased communication, even online, strengthens relationships. The cons are, Social networking sites entice people to spend more time online and less time interacting face-to-face. The sites offer many time wasting activities that supplant more productive activities. Teens spend an average of 9hours per week on social networking sites. The Negatives of messaging, and cell phones are, because the teenagers are not Talking face to face they might be feeling invincible, which might temp them to say something they might not say in real life. The pros of messaging, and cell phones are you can talk to friends about homework and other things, instead of actually meeting up with the person. There are many positives and negative of social networking sites, messaging, and cell phone technologies.
Social networking sites are a great way to communicate and inform your friends and family about your recent life, but it also takes up a lot of time in a teen’s life.
Messaging is also a good way to get a hold of someone fast and easily, especially if there is too much noise around you wouldn’t be able to be hear d if you called. The down side of all communication not said face-to-face is being able to understand the message completely.
Cell phone technologies help teens every day. An app or WIFI, makes it convenient to find something right then and there. A negative side of cell phone technologies is that the battery constantly needs to be charged.

The positives of social networking sites, messaging, and cell phone technologies is that we can communicate with others without having to be face to face. Also, social networking sites allow us to share our opinions and knowledge. Like on Blogger.com I can share what I know about different subjects and comment of people’s questions.
The negatives of social networking sites, messaging, and cell phones technologies is that people can bully others online. Cyber Bulling happens a lot more than it used to because now there are more social networking sites. Another negative with cell phones and messaging is that people can become upset with each other because they misunderstand what someone is saying. When you’re talking face to face though you can understand what people are saying easier.
Social networking sites, messaging, and cell phone technologies used by teens are both positive and negative. Some positives about them are we can socialize and communicate on them, can research different things and be able to find anything on the Internet. But there is also negatives about all of the technologies that include, some people can't use them responsibly. Kids insult each other over social networking sites and messaging, People send inappropriate pictures of each other, and hurt them self’s over something over the Internet. When I am on Facebook, kids fight on there and talk very rudely to others. I do not get into fights over the Internet; I think it is childish and mean. Someone a few years ago sent an inappropriate picture over their phone. The picture got out to a lot of different people, that person was not only embarrassed, but her friends were worried about her so they told a teacher. All of the people got in a lot of trouble, suspended from school, and sports for a few games, and the person who sent the picture was in a lot of trouble too they were put on a pornography list. That person should have never sent the picture and they wouldn't have to be in the situation that they were in. The Internet has positives and negatives.

Social Networking Sites
Positives: Social networking sites allow you to keep in touch with friends, family, colleagues, etc. They make it easy to stay up-to-date on the latest news. Negatives: These sites can allow people you don’t know to see your personal information.
Messaging
Positives: You can keep in touch with people that are in a different place than you, without disrupting people by calling them. Negatives: When you’re messaging, sometimes your words and tone of voice can be misinterpreted.
Cell Phones
Positives: You can search information and talk with people on the go. Negatives: We can become too dependent on our phones and forget how to communicate with actual people.

There are many positives and negatives about using technology. The positives are that it’s getting easier to talk to people all around the word and to communicate new ideas. You can text people to talk to and communicate through Facebook. You can make groups and meet new people, but because of the internet and new technologies there are many new ways to get in trouble and be pressured to do things. They’re new ways to get bullied and emotionally hurt.

There are many positives and negatives about social networking and cell phone technology. You can keep up with your friends and family lives on a social networking site. You can also comment on their pictures, post on their wall and video chat with them. The negatives are that a lot of cyber bullying goes on through the internet and people can make fake profiles of you and other people. Cell phone technology is great you can text your friends and family or you can call them or you can get on the internet and check what people are doing or keep in contact. But what comes with the good must have bad, Sexting is a big deal with cell phone use and messaging.

Some positives about social networking sites, messaging, and cell phone technologies are that on a social networking site is that you can talk to friends or family on the site and see what they are talking about or what they are doing on the site. A positive thing about messaging is that you can text message your friends on your phone and talk about what you are doing now, later, or sometime in the near future. A positive thing about cell phone technologies are that with your cell phone you get on the internet and other social networking sites. Some negative things about social networking sites is that when someone is talking to you online you don’t know if they are being serious or joking around with you. A negative thing about messaging is that you don’t know who you are texting and if they are your friends or not. A negative thing about cell phone technology is that you can now get on a whole bunch of sites on your phone now and some people misuse that privilege of that and look up sites they shouldn’t have.
We have all seen the positives and negetives of technology. More freedom of course is a plus, but with it comes responsibility and if not handled properly you could put yourself in danger. I'm not going to list all of the pro's and con's since other student pretty much have them covered.
