After doing the Alexa assignment , discuss reasons for using this site as a high school student. Give specific examples. In other words, how could this site be used to help with your high school assignments
Trent Allison September 16, 2011 The reason I would use this site as a high school student is because it gives me a variety of good sites to use for school or communicating with others and it also gives me hot topics to use for things and it gives me a web directory, blogging, and also hot products. And it allows me to search things that I want for school and other things.
Alexa is a Web Information Company, which means that it gives the user information about websites and their popularity, purpose, and what their global rank is. This site can be used as a high school student, especially if the assignment is to research and write about a certain site. Alexa would a allow the student to easliy find the site and get a few statisics about it. This site would also help discover sites that some people wouldn't know about. The specific search results, site tools, and site info could also help if I wanted to research something accurate about a site. Alexa can also help with other school assignments, like web history essays and such.

I will definitely be using this website in high school because it gives you different sights that might help you that you would have maybe never used and then it tells you the sights information and the world Population and the United States population on the website. This is also a good web site for teachers because than they can tell if it is a good website without having to ask people it tells you right there.

Jessica Brobst September 16, 2011 This site would help me as a stucent because I discovered more sites that I didn't know about. Also I can use the search bar to get more specific results. The hot topics, top sites,hot products, Alexa blog, and the web directory are very good resources that would help me if I were to get stuck on my homework.

And they can see what sites are most popular so that they can use them sites instead of other sites that might not give the things you need.

Lola Engfer September 16, 2011 After I did the alexa assignment I realized I could use this websites for more than just this project. I could go on Alexa to see the total rankings off sites used in the USA. I can also see the new popular websites to go on. Also I can look on Alexa to see if there anything that can help me with my homework. It also gives me topics I can talk about in reports or just to start a conversation.

Alex chrismer Sept 20th Alexa could help students find a better website then what your already using for instance if you’re using like Bing for a search engine and you look on alexa. You would find that Google.com is a lot better. So if you were doing a research paper for school and you’re using a site. And you look on alexa and try to find a better website that would help you through it better.
The Alexa website shows the rankings and what the websites are about. As a high school student this is very helpful, I can see what websites to use if I need to research or which website would be the best for what I am looking for.
Overall the Alexa website is benefical. It shows me whether a site will be a waste of time ot not. I see myself using this resource in the future to benifit myself academically.
